Thanks, Lili! The portion size commentary is so true. When I eat at a restaurant and have a salad, I bring all or most of the entree home.
A few months ago you asked me how I lost 20 pounds. I stick mostly to vegan foods and what I think of as “water-based foods” (veggies). I do slip up once or twice a week and eat low-fat cheese and bread, but I weigh myself every day, and when I gain 1-2 pounds, I am careful until I lose 1-2 pounds. I also exercise every day.
Hi Bunny – CONGRATULATIONS! You’ve done a great thing for yourself!
I agree with the daily weighing, it really does keep one on track. I advise clients to weigh twice a day for two reasons. 1st and foremost, to see the number go up and down and to know that we are not A weight, its simply a snapshot, like a financial statement or a bank balance. ANd 2nd, all we are looking at is trend. Trending down? Hooray. Trending up . . .well, best to make some small changes sooner rather than later.
Great to hear from you! Cheers!
