The Magic is in the Mindset ~ Train your Brain for a Better Life

Do you have a friend that is always complaining about one thing or another?  Are you that person?

If you are the victim of your own negative self talk, it’s time to put a leash on your brain and teach it to behave.  Using EFT and Hypnosis are excellent tools, but you can start with these simple steps.

Notice the Chatter Around You

Your word IS your wand!
   Your word IS your wand!

If you are swimming in radio talk shows, news programs, reality tv, even sad or negative music, you may be ingesting a toxic load of negatively, conflict and drama.

How do you feel – hopeful, positive, enlivened? Or are you feeling angry, fretful, fearful?

Notice the chatter coming out of your mouth and in your mind.

What are you are telling yourself? “I always . . , I’ll never . . ., people are just no good. . . “

Question your words and question your thoughts.  Are these statements true 100% of the time?  Are they even your thoughts, or just something you grew up hearing?  Just because you think it, doesn’t make it true!

Turn It Around

Take back your power and turn off the noise. If it makes you feel bad, why go there?

Get up, move, stretch, think of something lovely –  a puppy, a kitten, a beautiful landscape –  and follow that thought until you feel better.

Build a list of your successes, your favorite things, and other positive thoughts. Write them down and read them often.

Focus your attention on these things when you are feeling down.  Get to the very basics if you have to – appreciate the smallest things, like your pillow, hot water and paved roads and grocery stores.  Not to many years ago those things not even available.
