Self Talk

Welcome to the first blog post, a long time in coming!

I am sitting with a about 20 really smart entrepreneurial women,  at the gracious Connection Cafe in Brentwood Baptist Church. We are having a Done-in-a-Day mastermind meeting sponsored by our networking group Allies In Biz and Phyllis Nichols (Sound Advice Sales and Marketing) and Celeste Raines (Flying Otter Marketing).

And we are ALL  hitting walls as we navigate website creation, graphic design software, scheduling software, event creation, e-book creation and more!

We have support, the synergy of focus, but I am hearing way too many self-deprecating remarks (even saying some myself!): “I’ll never…, I’m so %#^% …, I just “beeped” it,…it’s too hard!”  The words I’m hearing  really don’t serve us or serve God (or Spirit, Universe, Source, Higher Power – choose which ever name rings true for you).

So this first post is about self-talk, about being AS KIND to yourself as you would to a child struggling to master walking!  Please  give yourself words of encouragement and support, and ask for the help you need – from mentors, wise friends, experts and especially God.

To get out of the mode of frustration, stuckness or overwhelm, try EFT / tapping.  Just “talk and tap”:  talk  (scream or growl, if that’s what you feel!) as you tap through the standard 13 points. Instead of a  formal set-up phrase try something like this below and just say what’s on your heart and mind:
Even though I am having a really hard time / so frustrated / ARRGGHH,
I’m willing to breath, tap, and let the solutions flow!
If you need a refresher on how to tap, go to my Resources tab above for the download!
Let me know how it goes!
Happy tapping!
